Dr. Nurse podcast, fam, welcome. Welcome to another episode of the Dr. Nurse Podcast. In fact, welcome to the final episode of the Dr. Nurse Podcast. I know this might come as a shock. I would like to first just start off by saying Merry Christmas, Happy New Year. These are not things that I’ve been able to say and share with my community and so I just wanted to go ahead and Put that out there that I hope you guys had a wonderful holiday season full of love, laughter, family, just remembering, how great it is to get to celebrate in those, in those times. So hope you guys had a great holiday season. Yes, today marks the bittersweet moment when I say goodbye to a journey that has been so filled with laughter, depth, and incredible inspirations from the conversations I’ve had here at the podcast.

Where do I start? I don’t even know how to begin to say goodbye when I’ve been thinking about ending my podcast. I just get So emotional and almost like I’m not gonna do it. What am I talking about? I’m not gonna do it. No, I’m gonna do it It’s been a labor of love and a push to inspire others To grow their their mindset around their careers and their nursing degrees For the last two years I’ve been pouring my heart and my soul into this podcast, creating content around things that I’m passionate about.

Nursing, being a nurse practitioner, motherhood, freedom from bedside or the clinic. When I started this podcast, I remember being so afraid. Who would want to hear a single thing? I would say, what would I say? What did I want to know? Who is the podcast for? All the questions and none of the answers. And so I sought them out.

I sought out to find them. I wanted to create something for the nurse practitioner, Sandra, who started off and had no clue. What she was doing. I wanted to create content for that nurse practitioner who was just happy to get away from bedside nursing and was searching for something more For his or her career I ran away from the nursing burnout and lack of time freedom to find something more I would love to do and that’s why I became a nurse practitioner with the birth of my sweet son I had another shift.

I came to another crossroads. Now caring for him was all that I wanted to do. But now I had three degrees, and what felt like no options to generate income besides the daily Monday through Friday grind now I found myself wanting to run again, but I didn’t know where and hence the podcast The heart of the podcast was born to answer this question. What do I do now? What does this degree do for me now? And I brought you along this journey to solve my soul aching problem. And man, did we find some answers. This is a great quote that I feel like really sums up that process.

When the student is ready, the teacher appears. When the question is asked, then the answer is heard. When we are truly ready to receive, then what we need will become available by John Gray. So I made myself available in the quietness of my kiddos taking a nap. I begged people to talk to me, literally begged people on Instagram, LinkedIn, wherever I could find them to talk to me, to tell me how they found their icky guy.

And if you don’t know what that means, check out the Ditch the Bedside episode. How do you find your life’s work?

A thing that doesn’t feel like work? How did they find financial freedom? And how are they making their nursing degrees work for them? We learned together that our skills as a nurse translate beautifully into other domains of leadership, entrepreneurship, content creation, coaching.

And beyond through the podcast conversations, we talk to experts building nursing businesses, health coaches that had changed their lives around and then healthcare experts, because in order to do our job, we have to be healthy. So we explored how to be the best in all domains in life so that we could be well rounded nurses and nurse practitioners.

Running the Dr. Nurse podcast has been an incredible adventure And I’ve had the privilege of exploring diverse topics, chatting with fascinating guests, and hearing your stories. But, like all good things, this podcast must come to an end. As we wrap up this chapter, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to each and every one of you who has been a part of this podcast.

Whether you’ve been with me since the beginning, hi mom, or joined me Along the way, your support has meant the world to me. I have met the most amazing people while making this podcast, and it has changed me. I am a completely different woman since starting this podcast, and to that, I will be forever grateful to the Dr.

Nurse podcast. Please remember that the episodes will remain available. The wisdom shared will continue to inspire you can always revisit your favorite moments or share them with someone who might find value in them. And so my friends, it is time to bid farewell to the Dr. Nurse podcast. I hope you take with you the laughter, the knowledge, and the sense of community we’ve built together.

For those of you thinking, Oh, Sandra, this is so sad. No, don’t go. Don’t do it. As one door closes, countless others open. I’ll be starting another podcast with my business partner for our SuccessNP business. David Goggins says it best, Don’t stop when you’re tired, stop when you’re done. And I’m not done. I’m just finding another avenue to work in.

We want to niche down and provide content for nurse practitioners. It’s something that we have found a love for and we want to create content around. So yes, this is goodbye. Until we launch that new podcast. In the meantime, my friends, keep exploring, keep learning, and never stop seeking the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Remember, you picked the most amazing degree working as a nurse or a nurse practitioner. Thank you again for being a part of this incredible journey, and until we meet again, don’t forget to enjoy the journey of your careers. Bye bye.
